With soccer and basketball classes, activity is resumed on the multipurpose field of the La Cañada Industrial Estate in Tulancingo, after being neglected for several years by the authorities and its deterioration allowed illegal activities such as the consumption of narcotics.
The director of Physical Culture and Recreation of Tulancingo, Jesús Olvera Navedo, informed that the classes will be taught Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, by Professor Jair Hernández, for children 12 years of age and older of the same age, in order to prepare them for competitions in local and regional leagues.
In addition, Diego, one of the best exponents of fantasy soccer in Hidalgo and the country, will be a soccer coach for both children and youth, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, also from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
Inhabitants of this neighborhood recognized that the abandonment in which the field was located allowed the permanence of people, young people and adults, dedicated to the consumption of prohibited substances or alcohol.
Among the tasks carried out are: painting, placement of a new section of cyclonic mesh and improvement of the existing one, as well as lighting renovation with the installation of led technology lamps.
The rehabilitation of said space was in charge of the Urban Maintenance Department, which has improved the state and conditions of at least 10 fields, in the last quarter and, in some cases, with the collaboration of socially committed companies
