The Playoffs – Bryce Young, Will Anderson e Jahmyr Gibbs se declaram para Draft

With the college football season nearing its end and the attention of many NFL teams already focused on the 2023 season, an increasing number of players are declaring entry into the Draft. This was the case with the Alabama trio of Bryce Young, Will Anderson and Jahmyr Gibbs. The three Crimson Tide players confirmed Monday that they will forgo their fourth year of college football eligibility to enter the Draft.

Bryce Young was favored to be the first overall pick and played in 34 games in three years of college football, starting two seasons. The 2021 Heisman winner completed 65.8% of passes, throwing for 8,356 yards, 80 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Young still contributed 165 yards and seven touchdowns on 139 carries.

Will Anderson won the Bronko Nagursski Trophy, an award given to the best defenseman in college football, in 2021 and 2022. The edge played in 41 games in three seasons and totaled 204 tackles, of which 58.5 resulted in loss of yards, in addition to 34, 5 sacks, 4 passes defended, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception returned for a touchdown.

Jahmyr Gibbs played in 19 games for Georgia Tech over two seasons and transferred to Alabama in 2022, playing in 12 games for the Crimson Tide. In three years of his career, the running back has gained 2,132 yards on 383 carries, scoring 15 touchdowns. Gibbs also demonstrated versatility as a passing target, gaining 1,212 yards and recording eight TDs on 103 receptions.

The 2023 NFL Draft will take place April 27-29 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Houston Texans hold the first overall pick going into Week 18, but they still don’t have the pick mathematically confirmed.
