From the height of his 2m21, Victor Wembanyama is a real physical monster who panics the counters and turns all heads. Yet Wemby is “only” the second tallest man in France. The first ? A certain Vincent Pourchot, who, you may have guessed, is also a basketball player.
After much speculation about his height, Victor Wembanyama himself wanted to close the debate a few weeks ago by revealing that he is 2m21 barefoot. If some doubts remain in the eyes of some observers, who think that the future number 1 of the Draft is larger than this mark, the 2m21 remain for the moment the official mark concerning Wemby.
Vincent Pourchot, the only man taller than Victor Wembanyama
If he remains stuck at this size, the Mets player will therefore never exceed the tallest man in France, alias Vincent Pourchot. Aged 30, the native of Metz had a pleasant career as a professional player between 2013 and 2022, notably passing through Lille, Lorient and Tours.

The problem for him is that at almost 31 years old, and despite all the soup in the world, Vincent Pourchot will no longer grow. Therefore, if Victor Wembanyama (19 years old on January 4, editor’s note) continues to take even a few centimeters under the fathom, it is indeed Wemby who will win the tallest man’s trophy in France…
Having become a phenomenon of social networks for his good nature and the banana that he seems to wear constantly, Vincent Pourchot could however lose his status of which he says he is most proud: that of the tallest man in France.
