The good results of the rural center of Saissac

It was very cold, there was snow, what better than a good galette des Rois to warm up? This is how the general assembly of the rural home ended, which saw its president Maryse Vieu renewed for one more year (her twentieth) at the head of the oldest association in Saissaga. Previously, place had been given to the various assessments of the past year, moral, financial, activity… all voted unanimously by the members present. It must be said that the home is doing well, very well even. With nearly 120 members, or 12% of the population, the institution is a key player in village life. Affecting all age groups, all social categories, thanks to the diversity of its activities, judo, jiu-jitsu, badminton, step, gym, small hands, walking, hiking…, it now concentrates (three days of the week) all the leisure activities that make life more pleasant in Saissac. As for events, exit the night of music (sold to Sundé), place at garage sales, Christmas market or garage sale, more suited to the association. In terms of finances, no worries either, with meticulous management by Florence, the home can deal with any unforeseen event, pay its workers, its expenses and even invest in equipment for its various workshops.

The only downside, which was discussed at length, was the large and beautiful project carried out by the association and a speaker for several months, which would bring to Saissac the first and only structure of its kind in the whole of the Montagne Noire, but which seems to come up against a negative response from the municipality.
