The Challenge of Mallorca shows the world an incredible land

Gobik wears the Eolo-Kometa road teams and the women’s FDJ

The agreement to dress Movistar was one of the main news for Gobik at the start of 2023, but with the best Spanish team on the World Tour, several teams coexist, both road and mountain bike, which will put the name of the Yecla brand in the most important and demanding stages of world cycling.

All Gobik teams for 2023

Eolo-Kometa cycling team

One more year Eolo-Kometa will be the start of the Giro d’Italia, the important and decisive moment, at the same time, for the block to improve its position in the top 30 best teams in the world. The dream come true by Lorenzo Fortunato del Monte Zoncolan from two years ago is still very much alive, to know that the objectives are feasible and realistic, even in a context of brutal competition. Vincenzo Albanese will continue as another of the important cyclists.

In its calendar, the blue team will not make big changes compared to last year. The Eolo-Kometa cycling team can be seen in the most classic cycling countries but also in others such as Hungary, Turkey, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Romania, Croatia and even Argentina, in the team’s first non-European race.

For this, they have twenty cyclists in the first team, without forgetting that the structure of the Contador Foundation includes sub 23 and junior blocks, from where the promotion of young cyclists continues. This year names like Davide Piganzoli, Fernando Tercero, Alex Martín and David Martín will continue their cycling career within the same structure.

Gobik will dress the Fundación Contador teams for the fifth year in a symbiosis of proven success, since both the brand and the structure led by Fran Contador have grown together to the present.

FDJ Suez

As with Movistar, Gobik continues his presence in the women’s World Tour with the best French team. The structure directed by Stephen Delcourt has in its sights the main competitions in the world, in addition to the big three, the best classics to cover a calendar of more than 110 days, setting foot in a dozen countries.

For this, the team has assembled a block of fifteen cyclists, of six different nationalities, highlighting the winner of the Tour stage, Cécilie Uttrup Ludwig, and the best of the Fleche Wallonne, Marta Cavalli. With them will be names like Grave Brown, Evita Muzic, Vittoria Guazzini and Clara Copponi.

For Gobik it will be the second year with the French team with one of the most characteristic jerseys on the women’s circuit.

BH- Coloma Team

Together since the beginning of their history, the BH-Coloma Team and Gobik are facing a mountain biking campaign with very powerful innovations in the team managed by the Olympic medalist, Carlos Coloma, who will wear a new sober and elegant design designed by Gobik.

The signing of Jofre Cullell means one of the big changes in the market for the coming year. With the Catalan comes the experienced Argentine, Catriel Soto. Both will ride alongside UCI number one David Valero, while Pablo Rodríguez, Rocío del Alba and Natalia Fischer follow.

The main novelty will come from the Cofactory team, an under 23 and junior block with a UCI license that brings together the great talents of Spanish BTT in what is an “innovative project” in the words of Carlos Coloma for the national youth team. The team will have its own paddock, vehicles and staff and those from outside the pro block.

Primaflor-Mondraker-Genuins

Always with Gobik, the Murcian team continues to be a fixture for the brand. In 2023, the kit of the team led by Fran Pérez comes with powerful innovations, going from the characteristic blue to a striking white.

Ahead, a calendar in which the World Cup that starts in May will be the great one with a jump, even to the United States and Canada. The rest of the campaign will be mainly national and European, always trying to build the best internal environment that generally translates into achieving results.

To do this, the team brings together seven bikers between its XCO and XCM divisions. The signing of Ondrej Cink is the great novelty of a year in which the name of Rebecca McDonell continues to be the most prominent.

Wilier Triestina-Pirelli team

Finishing at the top of each podium will be the main objective of the team that brings together two great “made in Italy” brands, Wilier and Pirelli. In this list of objectives, all the World Cups fit, plus races of the level of the Cape Epic, European and world marathon, without forgetting the national championships, to give Gobik designers a little more work. This in absolute category, because in sub 23 the World Cup is loaded with challenges.

The Mediterranean Epic and the Andalucía Bike Race will open a campaign that will last until the North American rounds of the World Cup, including such special events as the Mythos Dolomiti, the home race, and the emblematic Roc d’Azur.

In total there will be ten cyclists divided between the XCM and XCO structures with world champions, such as the under 23, Simone Avondetto, or European marathon junior, Gustav Pedersen. Everyone will wear the Gobik kit again, which this new season has resulted in one of the most daring and casual designs.

Santa Cruz F.S.A.

The Milan-based block, Santa Cruz FSA completes the series of teams dressed by Gobik, facing 2023 with the full intention of repeating last year’s results with eight victories, thirty podiums and more than 110 competitions, with great performance for part of Luca Braidot, the second best biker in the world, according to the UCI ranking, and third in the world, just behind David Valero, in both cases.

For the year just begun, the Italian block has four cyclists who will go all out in a calendar that focuses their sights on the entire World Cup plus an intense presence in France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and Italy. For this, they have four riders and the security of having one of the “most beautiful kits on the circuit”, where green tones and an abrupt and crystalline texture give shape to the jersey that Gobik has prepared.
