the Blues beat Egypt before leaving for the World Cup

The French men’s handball team beat Egypt (33-32) on Saturday in Orleans for its second and final preparation match for the World Cup, four days before facing Poland at home at the opening.

The Blues won the Tournoi de France after a much more convincing game than that delivered Wednesday against the Netherlands (43-32) at Le Mans, where they had struggled in the first period.

They will face Poland in Katowice on Wednesday at the opening of the World Cup (January 11-29 in Poland and Sweden).
