Students from vulnerable schools will be dressed and fitted

The Ministry of Education will deliver 26,820 uniforms and 24,201 pairs of tennis shoes

Students from 10 schools located in vulnerable areas of the city will be the first to receive uniforms and tennis shoes from the state authorities, announced the Undersecretary of Education in the Northern Zone, Maurilio Fuentes Estrada.

He reported that there is a batch of 26,820 uniforms, which are made with high quality and consist of a jacket and sports pants, as well as a t-shirt, so they can be used daily by students.

Also, 24 thousand 201 pairs of tennis will be delivered, so it is determining in which other schools the delivery of the implements will take place.

The cost of the clothes and tennis shoes that will be awarded at the border will be 15 million pesos, but for the entire state, 40 million pesos were invested in the clothes that the students will receive for free.

Fuentes Estrada said that next Friday, February 3, there will be a symbolic delivery of uniforms and that the ceremony will be presided over by the governor, María Eugenia Campos Galván.

The program was established to support the economy of households located in vulnerable areas of the city and assured that it will represent a great help for border families.

The first schools to benefit are six from the state subsystem and four from the federal one, he announced.

“Obviously the idea is to deliver to the communities that are most vulnerable, that need the most. The uniform is free and comes very complete, ”he commented.

The other institutions whose students will receive the uniform and tennis shoes will be defined by officials of the City of Chihuahua, once it is determined they will be sent to them.
