A bad adventure that happened on Saturday night to a couple from Luino, in the car park at the crossroads between state road 394 and the provincial road towards Brinzio.
The two thirty-year-oldsafter spending an evening with friends in Luino, they were returning home: the boy had accompanied his partner to the car, which had been left in the rest area of a well-known restaurant in Valcuvia.
“We stopped there to talk and at some point this gentleman arrived from nowhere – says the man -. At first he has slammed my hands on the roof, we don’t know the reason; then he went away, came back and opened the door telling us that we had to take him 300 meters from where we were ».
«He seemed dazed – continues to tell the 30-year-old -, but the moment he told us he showed us two baseball bats he was carrying. Luckily I didn’t think twice, I did reverse and we escaped, the car was on to warm us up. He tried to chase us, but scared we left. After ten minutes we went back to the parking lot and it was gone, so my girlfriend could take the car and go home.’
On Monday morning, the man reported the incident to the carabinieri at the Luino station: «If I hadn’t been ready to run away, I dare not think what could have happened. We were afraid, an actual attempted assault. Our intent is only to warn other people and put them on alert ».
The identikit of manin his fifties, was registered by law enforcement: 170 centimetres, sunken face, long gray beard and a scruffy appearance.
