Porta Portese 2, robs a 68-year-old lady, arrested by the Rome Capital Police

A 68-year-old lady was passing a few meters from the Sunday market at Porta Portese 2 who, while walking on the sidewalk of viale Palmiro Togliatti, in the company of her husband, was robbed by a 20-year-old man of Egyptian nationality who, in order to the bag off her, caused her to fall disastrously to the ground, forcing her to resort to appropriate medical treatment.

The agents of the V Casilino group of the Roma Capitale police, in control service in the Sunday market area, immediately realizing what happened, managed to stop the thief, with a criminal record and without a residence permit, leading him to the offices of the territorial group for compliance with the law.

The twenty-year-old was reported and is currently at the disposal of the judicial authority for aggravated robbery. Thanks to the intervention of the operatives, led by Dr. Marco Giovagnorio, the lady, who expressed her gratitude several times, was able to immediately regain possession of her belongings: wallet, keys, mobile phones, documents and credit cards.
