Hansi Flick wants to lure four Bundesliga stars to Barcelona.
After parting ways with Xavi, Hansi Flick will be officially introduced as the new coach of FC Barcelona on Monday. The former German national coach wants to lead the Catalans back to their former strength and already has concrete ideas about what Barca’s squad should look like in the new season.

As the portal “El Nacional” reports, Flick is no longer planning to use Marcos Alonso, Ferran Torres, Oriol Romeu, Inigo Martinez, Inaki Pena Vitor Roque and Joao Félix. Captain Sergi Roberto also no longer plays a role in the 59-year-old’s considerations.

Instead, Flick wants to lure four Bundesliga stars to Spain. At the top of Flick’s wish list is Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich, who is to fill the gap left by Sergio Busquets in 2023. Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as well as Dani Olmo and David Raum are also expected to come from Leipzig.

However, it is unlikely that the financially troubled FC Barcelona can really manage such transfers. Flick’s predecessor Xavi was denied most of his wishes last year.
