News at the creative direction of Borsalino where the new stylist, or Head of style as the house in Alessandria likes to define him, makes his debut: it is Jacopo Politi, who will present his first collection for the autumn on 11 January on the occasion of Pitti Uomo. winter 2023/24 inspired by the theme of space.
The collection is a real extraterrestrial walk to discover the cosmos that transforms felts, berets and baseball caps into models full of lurex, rhinestones, holographic effects, laminations, tulle, silver yarns and metallic logos. Cosmic suggestions contaminate both the materials and shapes of the collection, exploring new stylistic frontiers. The felt, symbol of the Borsalino tradition, also available in the wool version, is enriched with the ‘nebula effect’, ‘earth of Mars’ and ‘starry sky’ processes. Next to the classic Fedora, Claudette and Sophie silhouettes, new contemporary felts stand out: space therefore for the unisex model with wide and flat brim, the Timothee baseball-cap, the two new buckets and the first version of the Fedora model with removable cold. The beret is also back, and the baseball cap is confirmed as essential with the new models with flat visors with loops for glasses and ear flaps. Finally, there are also knit items: the micro-beanie, the braided berets and the soft cashmere knit baseball-cap.
