Farewell to Pele, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 82, will last about one day.
On Monday, the coffin with Pele was brought to the “Santos” stadium “Vila Belmiro” and placed in the center of the field, accompanied by a police and firefighter escort. Fans can say goodbye to Pele without coming closer than five meters to the coffin.
Pele’s funeral procession will begin on Tuesday, during which the coffin with the footballer will be carried through the district where Pele grew up and taken to the multi-storey columbarium in Santusa.
