Ons Jabeur struggles through Australian Open second round

Seeded No. 2, Ons Jabeur had the greatest difficulty in joining the second round of the Australian Open. The Tunisian was more than manhandled by Tamara Zidansek (7-6 [8]4-6, 6-1) in a match where she often seemed embarrassed in her movements.

Luckily for her, her opponent couldn’t keep up the pace in the final set and saved her from a stressful end to the match. The fact remains that the finalist of the last Wimbledon and US Open appeared far from the level displayed last season, committing 49 unforced errors and passing only 46% of first serves.
