North Shore snowshoes selected for the Quebec Games

There were a lot of sparrows on Saturday and Sunday at the Center Éducatif L’Abri de Port-Cartier gymnasium. However, they were not threatening, nor less alive. They were used in the regional finals of the Jeux du Québec in badminton, but also for the second tournament of the RSEQ Côte-Nord season.

For the entire competition, there were 108 players, from schools on the Lower North Shore (CSS du Littoral), Mingan, Sept-Îles, Uashat mak Mani-utenam, Port- Cartier, Pessamit, Baie-Comeau, Escoumins, Bergeronnes and Sacré-Coeur.

For athletes born in 2006-2007, they could opt for the U18 category when the issue was a place for the Quebec Games 2023, in Rivière-du-Loup, from March 8 to 11 for badminton competitions.

The North Shore will rely on Emma Turbide from Sept-Îles in women’s singles, Julia Gagnon and Sandrine Boucher from Les Escoumins for women’s doubles, Thomas Gilbert and Julien Laurencelle, also from Les Escoumins, for men’s doubles, and on Nathan Dechamplain from Sept- Islands for men’s singles.
