NFL – Steelers: The Steelers are still alive thanks to a touchdown in the last minute

Summary

Kenny Pickett joined Najee Harris on 10 yards for the Steelers’ lone touchdown of the game with less than a minute left to keep Pittsburgh’s (8-8) season alive with a 16-13 win over the Ravens. Baltimore (10-6).

Minkah Fitzpatrick sealed the game with an interception off Tyler Huntley as the Ravens tried to come upfield for Justin Tucker to try to tie the game.

With this win, Pittsburgh gives itself a chance to advance to the playoffs and maintain a record of at least .500 for a 16e consecutive season under the reigns of Mike Tomlin. The Steelers were in a bad position with a 3-7 record a few weeks ago before going on a five-game winning streak in six games.

The script is simply for Tomlin’s men. The Steelers must do better than the Patriots (8-8) and the Dolphins (8-8) who both have the tiebreakers on the formation of Pennsylvania. A draw combined with two losses would do for Pittsburgh. If Miami or New England wins, it will be the end of the Steelers regardless of the outcome of their game against the Browns.

The attack of the two teams came from the ground game. Harris had 111 yards on 22 carries and his second, Jaylen Warren, also did well with 76 yards on 12 carries. For the Ravens, JK Dobbins did the most damage in the backfield with 93 yards on 17 carries.

Mark Andrews was the only player on either team to gain more than 36 yards by air. He finished the game with exactly 100 yards on nine receptions.
