NBA leaders Boston halted Dallas’ run

The Dallas Mavericks’ run of success in the National Basketball Association (NBA) has come to an end.

The Texans, who had previously won seven games in a row, lost 95-124 (46-64) to the Boston Celtics, currently the best team in the league, on Thursday. Mavs star Luka Doncic scored 23 points and did not play in the final quarter as the game was already decided there. He also appeared slightly sickly and coughed during some scenes.

With the Celtics, Jayson Tatum was the best player on the floor with his second career triple-double (29 points). Meanwhile, Finnish international Lauri Markkanen led his Utah Jazz to a 131-114 (64-56) away win at the Houston Rockets with a career-best 49 points.
