There’s a lot going on in the NBA!

The Los Angeles Lakers around national player Dennis Schröder (29) won 121:112 against the Portland Trail Blazers. After beating the Grizzlies, the Lakers can celebrate again this time. At first it didn’t look like it.

Lakers turn 25-point deficit!

The NBA record champion was 25 points behind in the game against Portland. DBB captain Schröder played well again with 24 points, six rebounds and eight assists. He scored 22 of his 24 points in the second half, helping his team get back into the game.

Once again, superstar LeBron James (38), who had 37 points and eleven rebounds, played a decisive role in the victory. Center Thomas Bryant also impressed with 31 points and 14 rebounds, so that the NBA record champion keeps up with the playoff spots with his 22nd win of the season.

Defeats for leaders

The two leaders of the Western Conference suffered surprising defeats. The Denver Nuggets narrowly lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 99-101 without their injured superstar Nikola Jokic. In the Thunder, Shai topped Gilgeous-Alexander with 34 points.

The Memphis Grizzlies lost 110-112 to the Phoenix Suns in a tight game. Ja Morant came up with 27 points for the Grizzlies. With the Suns, Chris Paul was back after missing seven games and was directly involved in the win with 22 points, six rebounds and 11 assists.

Nothing changed in the playoff ranks, with no team in the top five earning a win. Behind the two top teams from Denver and Memphis are the Sacramento Kings ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans, who lost 96:100 to the Miami Heat. Behind them are the Dallas Mavericks, who lost the direct duel against the sixth-placed Los Angeles Clippers 98:112.
