Mitchell and James were recognized as the best NBA players of the week

James averaged 29.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.7 assists in 31 games this season.

The streak of five victories has helped the “Lakers” to climb to 11th place in the Western Conference with 19 victories in 40 games.

Mitchell helped his team win three of four games and scored a career-high and club-high 71 points in Monday’s 145-134 overtime win over the Chicago Bulls.

With 71 points, he is one of seven players in NBA history to score more than 70 points in a game.

Mitchell averaged 37.7 points, 7.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game last week for the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers are tied for third place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 26-15.
