Mexico’s GDP grew 3.6% annually in 2022, according to Inegi – El Sol de México

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the mexican economy grew up 3.6 percent compared to the same period last yearaccording to National Institute of Statistic and Geography (Inegi).

By disclosing the timely estimate of the GDPthe Inegi stressed that the third sector was another of the items with the best dynamism last year, since it registered a rise of 3.6 percent.

Yesterday, Gabriel Yorio González, undersecretary of Haciendaassured that at least until November the country had a cumulative growth of 2.9 percentderived from a economic recovery better than expected.

In a press conference, the official stated that the analyst forecasts far from the reality observed by investorsfor which it also ruled out that the dependency modified its growth estimates for 2023.

“Once again, an unusual divergence has been detected between what analysts perceive, and the reality perceived by decision makers of investment in our countryin such a way that the growth is turning out above what most of the analyst consensus has”, reiterated Yorio González.

For this year, the SHCP The economy is expected to grow by up to three percent, as a result of a greater dynamism of the foreign tradeas well as for the investments in infrastructure projects in the country.

In the quarterly comparison of GDPthe Inegi reported that the Mexican economy grew 0.4 percent at the end of 2022.
