Melissa Martínez asks for time on ESPN to talk about Junior from Barranquilla

The hiring of Juan Fernando Quintero has led to Junior gets a lot of attention from the media and Colombian soccer fans, but the teams with the most interest continue to be National, millionaires y America. And, it seems, that this does not like Melissa Martinez and so he let it be known in the middle of the ‘F 360’ program on ESPN Colombia.

Although he tried to say it with laughter and playing with his fellow program members, the claim of not having talked about the coastal team was real and for this reason he participated little in the comments of the other more popular teams. But it was not a single comment, since he later also threw a ‘pod’ at the fans of those teams who got into giving their opinion in a survey that was focused on ‘juniorism’.

‘Meli’, as colleagues, colleagues and trusted people call her, once again said that Junior is going to be champion and repeated what he said before the failure of the year 2022. Although this time it is based on the arrival of ‘JuanFer’ and also on what can boost the massive public attendance at the Metropolitan Stadium, but not the unattractive game and without results of Arturo Reyes.

Melissa Martinez and his plea because they do not talk about Junior and yes about Millionaires, National and America:

In the aforementioned soccer program, after analyzing what was the victory of Millonarios against Deportivo Pereira and the draw of Atlético Nacional against Águilas Doradas, they went to commercials. And the return, for the last half hour, had an introduction to imply that Melissa was now going to talk about her team: “Meli’s happy moment has arrived, you have to please her, she has her birthday,” said journalist Pilar Velásquez.

And then came Melissa’s download, which is not very common, so she said, although her smile hinted that it was a ‘game’:

“An hour and 5 minutes did I have to wait for us to talk about Junior?… An hour and 5 minutes”

But for him to make the following comment, in whatever tone he does, was compelling to viewers. Above all, because it was before a comment by Víctor Hugo Aristizábal and ‘the row’ that he had to do to talk about his heart team:

“You let me know, I’m going to talk to Mr. Luis Fernando Domínguez (head of ESPN Colombia), I’m going to tell him: Mr. Luis Fernando Domínguez, did you hire me to work at Disney and Pegsa (producer) ? To work in ‘Noti-Millos’ or ‘Noti-Verde’? If that was the case, let me know, so I can present my resignation letter…”.

If that was what he said when they dedicated themselves to talking about Millonarios and Nacional, leaving out America that had not played over the weekend, then Fabián Vargas was in charge of reminding him that the wait would be longer when ‘la mechita’ will play: “Wait for America to start playing, because that’s where America’s quota goes…”.

Given all this scenario, Melissa asked that they not take more time to talk about Junior and they went with a survey so that the viewers answered the following: “Did this Junior from Barranquilla improve, with the ownership of Juan Fernando Quintero?”.

And while they watched the live results, Melissa Martínez protested again, this time stating that the results were taking place because the fans of Millonarios and Nacional were voting. But, again, the words were not the most fortunate:

“Of course, because they are dragging that little bit of green fans and that little bit of blue fans…. I am saying that the survey is conditioned by those who have been voting since the program started.

Sometimes the soledeña has had to clarify her comments, because his uncomplicated and cheerful attitude, has led viewers to feel that he belittles Junior’s rivals. But this time, when talking about resigning and the fans, he stepped on a ground that did not go unnoticed and that made us remember some episodes that also generated criticism against him.
