KFC takes a Mexican illustrator and launches a special bucket for Super Bowl 2023

Within the framework of the next edition of the Super Bowl, KFC decided to hire a Mexican illustrator to “dress” its already classic buckets and, with it, join the trend of one of the most important sporting events of the year.

Everything is almost ready for a new edition of the Super Bowl to take place on February 12, the great event of the NFL, one of the most anticipated and, without a doubt, a commercial window worthy of recognition everywhere.

By 2023, the so-called “Super Bowl” will take place at State Farm Stadium in the city of Glendale, Arizona, a place that will serve for the more than 40 million Mexican fans to enjoy one of the best sporting events.

In fact, data from a survey conducted by Nielsen IBOPE points out that the 2021 edition of the Super Bowl, in the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was seen by more than 10 million viewers in Mexico, which is equivalent to approximately 8 percent of the total Mexican population.

This, it should be noted, happened largely due to the excitement of seeing one of the greatest figures in the NFL, Tom Brady, a Tampa Bay Buccaneers player at the time, who was also presumed to be his last season of the National Football League.

On the other hand, in 2022, the transmission was seen by more than 10 million fans of the flagship sport in the United States, an edition in which, according to data from the NBCthe audience for the Super Bowl grew up to 13 percent, bringing together a total of 112 million viewers worldwide.

One of the novelties that have been announced for the next “Super Bowl” is that, in some way, Mexico will be present, either with the participation of Banda MS in the opening broadcast of the Fox Sports network, as well as the Chicana artist who was commissioned to create the art for the Super Bowl.

Now, within the framework of the 2023 edition, KFC decided to hire a Mexican illustrator to design the already classic fried chicken bucket for the Super Bowl.

In other words, the designer, named Mauricio Carreto, carried out a new packaging to, in this way, join the trend that, from now on, is generating the great NFL event.
