The Archery Club’s Second Tir du Roy: Xavier Takes the Crown

The archery club organized its second Tir du Roy last Saturday, an ancestral tradition that all archery clubs and companies organize internally once a year. The goal is to be the first to reach a small foam bird measuring approximately 5 cm by 2.5 cm located at a distance of 50 m. The winner is declared “Roy” of the club for a year and benefits from some privileges from the other archers of the club.

In this game, Xavier succeeds Léana Wepierre, winner in 2023. The archers take turns shooting an arrow, Xavier is the first to pierce the objective after more than two hours of effort. There were around ten Robins claiming this title.

Hats off to Pauline Simonneau (13 years old) who competed for the title of “Roitelet 2024”, reserved for the youngest and archers without sights. Indeed, Pauline, after being “Miniroy 2023” among the beginner archers last season, becomes “Roitelet 2024” this year. The young archer wins her second consecutive title.

For the last title, it is Lalie Mornet who, succeeding Pauline, becomes “Miniroy 2024”.
