On January 22, the judokas from Ribera Navarra faced the first competitive contact of the year with the first day of the Judo Sports Games of Navarra (JJDDNN) for the Infant and Cadet categories, which includes ages 13 to the 17 years The event took place at the Trinquete de Mendillorri sports center and the team achieved two first places thanks to Yulema Fernández Márquez and Leyre Iriso Ruiz.
From the Ribera Navarra they wanted to highlight the great competition of the ablitera, Yulema Fernández Márquez, in the -48kg Cadet category and her countrywoman Leyre Iriso Ruiz, both won all their fights by ippon (maximum score).
The cadet Marcos Balmont, from Tudela, weighing -66 kilos, also won by ippon in his first fights, only losing in the final, obtaining a well-deserved second position. The third places were the children Manuela Saborido, Yanira De Los Santos and Irene Parra.
His clubmates, although they did not manage to position themselves among the future medals in the final, had a great championship, obtaining several fifth places.
