Rossi expressed himself as follows: “It will be an important season full of challenges which, unusually, starts as early as January. I am pleased to open it in Morocco together with the leaders of the Moroccan federation to whom I have always been close as president of the Italian federation to support them in their international commitment”.

Then he added: “It gives me great joy to see what was previously just an International Grand Prix transformed into a World Cup. I wish the 230 athletes in the race good luck and I wish the coaches and members of the delegations who will participate in the event representing 45 countries a good job”.
