Second test passed!
Borussia Mönchengladbach clinched a 4-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld in the friendly on Wednesday (January 11, 2023) and was therefore in top form around a week before Bundesliga play resumed.
After an even quarter of an hour, Nathan N’Goumou put the Foals in front in the 29th minute.
In the second half all dams broke at VfL: Marcus Thuram (76th), Hannes Wolf (80th) and Manu Koné (87th) extended their lead and left the pitch as a deserved winner.

10:51 am: The last meeting between VfL and Arminia took place on February 5, 2022 at the Bielefelder Alm as part of the Bundesliga and ended in a 1-1 draw. The Fohlenelf won the first leg at Borussia-Park by a clear margin of 3:1.
9:46 am: Coach Daniel Farke (46) does not want to underestimate the test against the second division team. “We built physical substance at the beginning, while now we’re working more tactically in detail,” he says. “The friendlies are definitely the focus now and will have a special meaning. Because it’s all about finding the starting formation for the championship.”

On January 29 (1:30 p.m.), Bielefeld will start the second half of the season with a home game against Sandhausen. After the friendly against Borussia, the East Westphalians will go to a one-week training camp in Spain.
