Due to the excellence with which it develops talent in the youth categories, Fluminense is among the institutions honored by the IMBRICS Award, promoted by the International Forum of Municipalities of the BRICS Countries, in the Social Responsibility and Sustainability in Football section. The club was present at the International Congress of Science in Football, Futsal and Beach Soccer (FutFoz), in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), last Sunday (01/22), to receive the honor and discuss matters relevant to the different spheres of sport , considered a barn of stars around the world.

“We are happy and satisfied with the fulfillment of the mission of taking the name of Fluminense as a reference for Brazil and for the world. Everyone applauded our award standing up. It was incredible and generated an enormous, spectacular repercussion. We are proud of the invitation to present in this excellent congress, before the presence of an audience from different regions of the country and Latin America, the case of the Futsal department of the club”, declared manager Ivan Proença, who attended the event accompanied by coordinator Dilso Junior and supervisor Rafael Souza .

The tricolor representatives presented at the “World Futsal Symposium: from initiation to high performance” the pillars of the work carried out with the court warriors. In the lecture, the team unraveled the philosophy that guides the development of Moleques de Xerém, valuing the club’s power of social transformation and celebrating its relevant services provided in the sporting field.

“The recognition of Fluminense’s grassroots work honors those involved in this daily struggle. The institution’s main focus is on athletes, professionals and their families. The winning character of our training always shows people that it is what makes it different”, exalted Proença.

On the occasion, the manager also handed to the coach of the Brazilian Futsal Team, Marquinhos Xavier, a copy of the work “Xerém – Guerreiros nasar aqui”. It is worth mentioning that Flu is one of the few associations in Brazil that have the modality focused on training players for the field, establishing great integration between athletes and professionals from both areas.
