Feyenoord Under 21 won today against the FC Twente / Heracles academy Under 21. The team from Rotterdam won the game 0-1 and with this the first points of the spring competition have been collected.
The team from Rotterdam started fiercely in the opening phase of the match, the academy handed out some pinpricks, but Feyenoord was stronger. It was only after thirty minutes that a number of small opportunities were created for the team from Hengelo. Furthermore, the first half brought absolutely no spectacle with it and there were hardly any chances for either team.
Shortly after the break, Myron Bostdorp had a good chance to put FC Twente/Heracles ahead, but that ball went just over the goal. Furthermore, the team from Rotterdam were also the stronger party in the second half. Only in the 64th minute did Feyenoord’s reserves team reward the game with a goal, after a cross from Sauer, Van der Heijden managed to shoot the ball into the goal. After the goal, the team from Hengelo had a few more great chances, but those attempts did not go in, so that Feyenoord took the first points of the spring competition. Next week, the team from Rotterdam will play against De Graafschap O21 at Varkenoord.
