Eure. At Val d’Hazey, the meal of the elders has made a comeback

The small dishes had been put in the big ones to please the guests of the elders mealorganized by the municipality of Val d’Hazey (Eure) at the room of theMarcel-Pagnol Cultural Centerduring December 2022.

The event was making a comeback after two years of the pandemic and brought together 170 people happy to share a festive moment.

Menu gourmand

The menu concocted by the Moulin du Béchet in Croisy-sur-Eure delighted the taste buds: cocktail with petit fours and toast, seafood casserole with curry, Norman hole, truffled chicken fondant and vegetables, cheese and greenery platter , and to finish frozen nougat with red fruit coulis.

Deans in the spotlight

Paulette Papelorey93 years old, the oldest, and Michel Mulot89, the dean, were honored at the start of the meal by Philippe Collas, mayor, and elected officials.

The entertainment was provided by Sylvie Meheust, accordionist, and John Owenn, magician and mentalist. With this meal and the 560 parcels distributed, the alumni were spoiled for these end-of-year celebrations.
