Domenico Tedesco in pole position to become national coach of the Red Devils, Peter Bosz is second candidate | Red Devils

The search for a new national coach is now really in the final straight line.

In Tubize there are only two files on the table. As announced this morning, that of Domenico Tedesco is one of them. The other is that of Peter Bosz, a 59-year-old Dutchman who previously coached Ajax and Dortmund, among others.

The track Tedesco would be the most concrete, currently the negotiations are in an advanced phase.

The 37-year-old Italian German never played football at a high level himself, but has proven in recent years as a trainer that he can quickly guide a team to success. At RB Leipzig, this resulted in, among other things, winning the DFB-Pokal.

The honors list of his “competitor” Peter Bosz is still empty at the highest level. The Dutchman guided Ajax to a Europa League final, but lost to Manchester United.

Afterwards, Bosz was still at the helm of Dortmund, Leverkusen and Lyon. He was fired from the French club in October after disappointing results.

The expectation is that the Belgian football association will soon come up with news about the new national coach.
