Danish handball players are winning their third World Championship in a row

In the title match, Danish handball players defeated France with a score of 34:29 (16:15).

Rasmuss Lauge Schmid was the top scorer for the Danes with ten goals, while Simon Pitlik had nine accurate shots, making 11 and 12 shots, respectively. Nedims Remili scored six goals with eight shots in the French national team.

These two national teams also met in the final of the 2011 championship, where the French won in extra time with a score of 37:35.

With six gold medals, France is the most decorated member of the Masters, while Denmark has three golds, all from the previous three championships. The Danes are the first to win three championships in a row.

Before that, in the fight for bronze, Spain defeated Sweden with the result 39:36 (18:22).

Adrian Figueras scored nine goals for the Spanish national team, shooting with 100% accuracy. Hampuss Vanne scored the same goal for the Swedes, who made 13 shots.

In the first stage of the main tournament, 32 teams were divided into eight subgroups of four each. The three best teams of each group reached the second stage, while the other national teams fought for 25th place.

In the second stage of the master’s competition, the 24 best teams were divided into four subgroups of six units each, and only the holders of the first two places in each group entered the quarterfinals.

The World Handball Championship took place from January 11 to 29 in four cities in Poland and five cities in Sweden.
