An unnamed Saudi lawyer explained the situation in detail to Spanish news agency EFE: “Although the laws of the kingdom still prohibit living together without a marriage contract, the authorities have recently started to turn a blind eye and no longer prosecute anyone despite the fact that these laws are applied become when there is a problem or a crime.”
Another lawyer said: “The authorities are no longer interfering in this case.” Given the attention Ronaldo is bringing to Saudi Arabia, they will certainly make an exception without much fuss.
