Chelsea ‘Insulted’ Benfica, Enzo Fernandez Doesn’t Accept

WHAT HAPPENED?

In response to Chelsea’s proposal for Enzo Fernandez, Benfica president Rui Costa wants the 2022 World Cup Young Player of the Year to stay until the end of the season, given The Eagles big chance to win the Portuguese League for the first time since four years ago.

Costa persuaded Fernandez that Chelsea was an unfit club for a player who had just won the World Cup, and that there would be more prestigious and more organized clubs to bid in the 2023 summer transfer window.
