The two boys who yesterday 15 January 2023, in the early afternoon, were arrested by the police officers caught robbing inside a house in via dell’Autiere, in Verona, and, to flee, they savagely attacked the owner who was returning home.
The man immediately noticed the two intruders and called the police: conspicuous discoveries, the two young men lashed out at him hitting him with a baseball bat or broomstick. The criminals – an 18-year-old and a 25-year-old both already known to the police – were however blocked by the police officers and arrested for aggravated robbery in competition.
In addition to the goods just taken from the victim – a T-shirt, a screwdriver and a battery charger – the agents also found a SIM-free mobile phone, an iPad, a laptop and a window breaker hammer in the 25-year-old’s backpack, which the young man did not managed to justify possession and that cost him a complaint for receiving stolen goods and carrying weapons or objects intended to offend.
At the end of the investigations, the two boys were accompanied to the Montorio prison where the judge, after having validated the arrest, ordered the measure of precautionary custody in prison against both.
