Burgos basketball unites in a great inclusive celebration

Struggle Foundation It successfully held the first charity sporting event that wants to become an annual event to show the essence of the foundation, based on inclusion and sport. A combination that was experienced yesterday with a large influx of public in the El Plantío sports complex to participate in the ‘Wrestling Christmas Show’‘, or what is the same, basketball gathered around a good cause, raise funds to investigate the leucodistrofiasbetter known as ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

El Plantío hosted the wheelchair basketball game in which the players from the teams of the Inherit San Pablo Burgosby LEB Oro, the UBU Tizona by LEB Plata and women’s clubs CB Babieca y Burgos Female CB. Together with them, members of the Servigest Burgos wheelchair basketball club. A game in which the players could be seen in a very different context from the usual one, in which the public could enjoy their skills with the basketball. Some skills that they also enjoyed in the triple contest, in which players from San Pablo, Tizona, CB Babieca and CB Femenino de Burgos participated, as well as the player of the Spanish team in a wheelchair David Mouriz.

Sport was not the only thing that those attending the El Plantío charity party could enjoy. They were also able to have a good time with the circus and theater show by the Burgos company ‘Tiritirantes’, with a staging focused on the little ones who attended the Luctari Foundation event yesterday. The culmination of the charity celebration was provided by music, that of Juan Gómez Canca ‘El Kanka’ and that of the group from Burgos Fetén Fetén.

In the case of El Kanka, according to Javier Peña, general director of the Luctari Foundation, he had said goodbye to the stage a year ago and will return soon, since he has been working on his latest album. The singer will be in Burgos, at the Evolution Forum, next April 22, as part of his ‘Things of the Living’ tour. In fact, the public that attended El Plantío yesterday was able to listen live to a song from this latest work that is part of the tour. The fun was also served with Fetén Fetén within a show that was designed for “the family, for friends, for couples, for everyone.”

The ticket price, 10 euros – children under 12 did not pay admission – was going to be used to raise funds to investigate leukodystrophies. And the objective of the event is to “be annual”, so that, within the social responsibility of the Foundation, “generate a brand at the city level”.
