According to the British news outlet Football Daily, Vasco’s baseman Andrey Santos cost Chelsea around 18 million pounds – at current prices, more than 114 million reais.
The value is much higher than the value speculated by the Brazilian press. At the beginning of the month, journalists and club sectorists stated that Andrey Santos would be leaving Cruzmaltino for around 12.5 million euros, the equivalent of 68.5 million reais.
Also according to the British newspaper, the purchase of the Basque base would be the third most expensive in the transfer window of the English club.
