The President of the USA, Joe Bidenreceived this Tuesday at the White House to the Golden State Warriors of Stephen Curry, reigning NBA champions and of those who praised her “heart and claw” on the track, in addition to his social commitment.
“Look what this team does: speak out against racism; stand up for equality; encourage people to vote; empower children and their families to eat healthy, learn and play in safe places; speak out against violence by Firearms”Biden listed.

The Warriors went to the White House after the first of these four championships (2015), when Barack Obama was president, but they did not visit Washington in the following two (2017 and 2018) due to their differences with Donald Trump.
“The Golden State Warriors are always welcome in this White House,” Biden pointed out.
The president described the San Francisco Bay team as “one of the most successful franchises in basketball and in all of sports” and he especially highlighted his last championship, arrived after multiple injuries and many considering them terminated after missing out on the playoffs in 2021. “Guys, I know how you feel. I’ve been there too…”he ironized.
Biden surrendered to the talent of the Warriors roster, applauded “courage and humility” of Kerr from the bench and showed his admiration for Curry “Not only as a player but as a person.”

Harris, proud of Golden State
The event was also attended the US Vice President Kamala Harris who highlighted that it is a “proud daughter” from Oakland, where the Warriors played for nearly half a century before moving to San Francisco.
“This jersey is a symbol of courage, determination and teamwork. My pride in the Warriors today is not just because they win but because these players, their coaches and the entire organization consistently uphold the principles of fairness, equality and justice, something that they do with great integrity and excellence”he claimed.
For his part, Curry said that “it means a lot” for his team to be at the White House to celebrate his latest ring and presented Biden with a Warriors jersey with the suggestion that he might hang it in the Oval Office. “Hopefully we can go back another year to check if the shirt is there”he joked.
Speaking earlier at the daily White House press conference, Curry thanked Biden for bringing back WNBA star Brittney Grinerwho was imprisoned in Russia for almost a year after being convicted of carrying cartridges with hashish oil to vape when she was going to take a plane.
