Bertans without points in “Mavericks” loss to “Clippers”

Bertans played 17 minutes and 17 seconds, missing all five of his long shots. Rujinieš has one assist, one blocked shot, one interception, two personal notes and a negative +/- indicator of -7.

Team leader Luka Doncic returned to the Mavericks after missing one match, but his 43 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists did not help them win either. Tim Hardaway was the second leading scorer for the Dallas team with 16 points.

Kawhi Leonard scored 33 points for the Clippers, and Norman Powell scored 27.

“Mavericks” with 23 wins in 42 matches are in fourth place in the Western Conference, while “Clippers” are in sixth position with 22 successes in 43 matches.

“Mavericks” will play their next match on Thursday, when they will meet another team from Los Angeles – “Lakers”.

After missing 11 matches due to an injury, Stephen Curry returned to the field on Tuesday, however, the National Basketball Association (NBA) team he represents, the Golden State Warriors, lost at home.

The current champions “Warriors” recognized the superiority of Phoenix “Dogs” at home with 113:125 (26:31, 19:28, 34:39, 34:27).

Curry, who suffered a left shoulder injury on Dec. 14 at Indiana, had 24 points in his comeback game. Klay Thompson was the top scorer for the home team with 29 points, while Jordan Poole scored 27 points.

Mikel Bridges scored 26 points, Damion Lee scored 22, and Dwayne Washington scored 21.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Donavan Mitchell’s 46 points didn’t save the Cleveland Cavaliers from a road loss to the Utah Jazz.

Utah basketball players proved to be superior at home with 116:114 (31:24, 24:31, 33:29, 28:30), winning only the third victory in the last ten games.

Jordan Clarkson scored 32 points for the home team, while Lauri Markanen scored 25+16 points.

In another game, Miami “Heat” had a difficult victory, which defeated the Oklahoma City “Thunder” basketball players at home with 112:111 (31:26, 32:30, 26:32, 23:23).

In this match, the “Heat” achieved a new NBA record for all free throws made during the game – 40 out of 40. Previously, the perfect free throw record belonged to the Utah “Jazz”, who made all 39 free throws against the Portland “Trail Blazers” on December 7, 1982.

Jimmy Butler led the winners with 35 points, who made 23 of 23 free throws, while Max Strass scored 22 points.

Shay Gilges-Alexander scored 26 points for Thunder, but Josh Giddy had a triple double with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists.
