While the excitement of the last 16 in the Basketball Champions League will officially start today, the fifth power ranking of the season has been published before the tough challenges.

Galatasaray NEF, one of our ambitious representatives in the Basketball Champions League, ranked 12th while Darüşşafaka ranked 14th. Bahçeşehir College, on the other hand, ranked 16th and took the last place.

NOTE: Ranking is published by FIBA Basketball Champions League and is not owned by Eurohoops.

The following statements were used about Bahçeşehir College, which is in the 16th place of the list:

“This may not seem very fair but they should have been placed 16th as they were the closest teams to elimination if not for their amazing comeback against Filou Oostende. But now that they’re here, let’s talk about Jerry Boutsiele’s great season. The veteran Uzun is averaging 8.4 rebounds per game (third place in Basketball CL), 2.4 assists and 2.7 blocks per game, while also averaging 15.3 points. Jerry Boutsiele gave one of his unforgettable performances in Basketball CL with 7 blocks against Filou Oostende.”

The following sentences were given about Darüşşafaka in the 14th place:

“Play-In experts! Last season, Daçka eliminated the last champion Hereda San Pablo Burgos without a home advantage, and did the same to Benfica this season. Part of the reason they’re so far behind in the power rankings is because they’re in a nightmarish group with three Spanish teams dreaming of the Final Four. Darüşşafaka is the best team in defensive efficiency with 98.2 average in Basketball CL”

For Galatasaray NEF, which is in 12th place, the following sentences were included:

“Apart from their four defeats in a row and the fact that Dee Bost has left, there are many reasons for Galatasaray NEF fans to be excited about the round of 16 because Daron Russell came to Istanbul after breaking records in the Adriatic League. The scores he can produce can be a panacea and Galatasaray can be expected to return.”
