A great weekend of archery competition has come to an end. More than 150 archers, including 43 from the Balma club, gathered at the Jean-Rostand gymnasium for the second indoor competition of the season. This tournament is selective for the French championship of target shooting at 18 meters. “This is the first time that we have had to refuse so many people because we have received a lot of registration requests”, explains Vincent Denhez, president of the Balma arc club (BAC).
The athletes clashed on Saturday and Sunday before the prize-giving orchestrated by the Balmanese president. He insisted on the work of the volunteers and referees who covered the event. “Without them, this kind of competition would not be possible.”
Géraldine Meneghetti, sports assistant and Sophie Lamant, first assistant to the mayor, were present to give the medals to the various winners. BAC archers appeared on many podiums to start 2023 well.
