Bad weather in Lazio until Tuesday

NewTuscia – ROME “The Regional Functional Center announces that the Civil Protection Department has today issued the warning of adverse weather conditions with an indication that from the early hours of tomorrow, Monday 9 January 2023 and for the following 18-24 hours, over Lazio: scattered to widespread precipitation, including downpours or temporale, especially on the Tyrrhenian slopes of mountainous areas. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent electrical activity and strong gusts of wind. Furthermore, from the early hours of tomorrow and for the following 18-24 hours, strong or stormy winds are expected, especially on the Apennine ridges, tending to rotate from west / north-west in the morning, with possible storm surges on the exposed coasts.

The Regional Functional Center has carried out the assessment of the Alert/Criticality Levels and has therefore forwarded a bulletin with a yellow alert for hydrogeological and hydrogeological criticality for thunderstorms starting tomorrow throughout Lazio. The Permanent Operations Room of the Lazio Region has issued the alert of the Regional Civil Protection System and invited all the structures to adopt all the fulfilments of competence. Finally, it should be remembered that for any emergency, the population will be able to refer to the municipal civil protection structures to which the Regional Operations Room will guarantee constant support”.
