Back to competition for young Yzeuriens

The minims and cadets of Yzeure-Judo returned to the path of the tatami mats during the tournament of kings, this weekend, in Romans-sur-Isère. Fourteen young people from the club were involved in this very good level tournament.

On Saturday, the minims signed two bronze medals by Chaîma Oumelaz in -40 kg and Romane Delpuech in -36. Anis Bennacer, Adan Borderieux, Anne Vallée-Goudouneix and Inès Chouchane failing to rank.

The next day, the cadets obtained two silver medals by Titouan Delpuech in -50 kg and Lison Bernon in -48 and two bronze by Marilou Gonthier -57 and Inès Bennacer in -48. Camille Pierre-Pouviaud finished 5 e in -57 kg. As for Rose Maronne, Clément Pastural and Anthony Vasseur, if they did not manage to be classified, they could be proud of their course.

Their trainer, Mathieu Corneloup, was satisfied with the behavior of the youngsters. “This back-to-school tournament marks the start of the second part of the season with the championships which will lead to France. After a break of a week at the start of the holidays, the young people resumed training just after Christmas, it was an opportunity to measure themselves and the overall results are very encouraging, can’t wait for the rest! »
