With seven goals and two assists in the Premier League, Gabriel Martinelli is one of the faces of Arsenal FC’s outstanding season. Like David Ornstein of The Athletic reports, Martinelli is now extending his contract with the north Londoners on a long-term basis.
Martinelli extends Arsenal contract until 2027
The new contract is to run for four and a half years, i.e. until the summer of 2027. The attacker’s working paper originally expired in 2024, but Arsenal would have had the option of two more years.
With this, Arsenal creates clarity at Martinelli early on. Any interest and transfer requests in the summer, which would hardly be surprising given the youngster’s strong season, Arsenal have thus nipped in the bud early on. Arsenal should officially report completion in the coming days.
