Archery, Italy’s squad for the 2023 European Indoor Championships. All the big blues present in Samsun – OA Sport

Less than three weeks before the start of the event, Italy has announced the squad for the 2023 European Indoor Archery Championships, which will be held in Samsun (Turkey) from 13 to 18 February. Important ambitions for the blue selection in view of the most important event of the international indoor season, waiting to get really serious with the first stages of the World Cup outdoors over the Olympic distance.

The tricolor movement wants to do well in the next continental indoor event, after having collected 3 gold medals and 12 podiums overall (for a second place overall in the medal table) in the latest edition of Lasko 2022. To try to replicate or even improve the results of the last year, the Bel Paese will be able to count on all the big names in the Olympic national team.

In the men’s recurve the outdoor European champion trio will be deployed Mauro Nespoli, Federico Musolesi and Alessandro Paoliwhile the Olympic bronze medal will be won by women Lucilla Boari and Tatiana Andreoli (fresh from success in Nimes) e Clare Rebagliati. Italy is also competitive in the compound division and in the various youth categories, without forgetting the bare archery in which Cynthia Noziglia will go on the hunt for a new title.
