Cuban Andy Granda, world champion in the over 100 kg division, has been nominated for the best male judoka of the year award by the International Federation of the discipline.

The orb holder shares nomination with Tato Grigalashvili (GEO-81), Tsend-Ochir Tsogtbaatar (MGL-73), Davlat Bobonov (UZB- 90) and Hifumi Abe (JPN-66), winners also of the gold medal in Tashkent -2022.

In the category of best female judoka, the Brazilians Mayra Aguiar and Rafaela Silva, the Croatian Barbara Matic, the French Romane Dicko and the Japanese Uta Abe stand out. The other categories are Judo for Children 2022, Coaching for achievement, Judo for peace, Best ippon, Moment of the year and Rising star.

The winners will be announced in February, at the Grand Slam in Paris, based on the votes of the public who love this sport, which can be carried out through the link https://awards.ijf.org/ and until 31 from January.
