The president of the section, Cathy Larrieu, opened the general assembly by rejoicing to find the licensees after two years where the GAs were held by videoconference. The year 2022 has been difficult with few licensees and fewer competitions. However, the maintenance of the third stage of the Challenge Espoir which took place on May 14, at the stadium, clarified the picture. Like every year, the archers were present at the Sports Forum. The club also resumed organizing the indoor competition in October.
Some archers have nevertheless participated in competitions and nature courses for Stéphane Perobe, Bruno Poirier, Jean-Pierre Piboyeux. Alain Mazet’s record is still impressive with a place as regional vice-champion in the nature course, a fourth place in the FFTL French championships and a very good participation in the FFTL European championships. The year 2023 is shaping up under much better auspices with renewed activity and an increased number of licensees, 25 including 8 young people. The club will organize the fourth stage of the Challenge Espoir on June 4, 2023. The financial report for the year 2022 is voted unanimously (positive balance of €953.63). The floor is given to Rémi Cassany who, on behalf of the SCA, welcomes the new members, stating that the vocation of the SCA is also to help the sections in difficult times.
The city of Aiguillon continues to support clubs, especially those who have to pay their coaches. Rémi Cassany thanked the club for its participation in the Sports Forum and the hiking day, he praised the work of Jean-Pierre Piboyeux, volunteer referee, who thus allows others to practice their sport, and paid tribute to Annie Sautède for his work as a federal youth coach.
