But someone seems to be very upset about Davie Selke’s (27) FC commitment. Ironically, its star predecessor reacted obviously offended!
While Selke was the first to grab jersey number 27 from ex-fan favorite Anthony Modeste (34/BVB) in Cologne (BILD reported) and thus openly demonstrated that he wants to follow in the footsteps of the 20-goal shooter, Modeste posted yesterday on his Instagram profile a photo of his family including a consultant with the number 27 on it.
Coincidence? Hardly!
Because: Modeste also published several messages that fans had sent him or written on social networks – all with the same message: The only true 27 is Modeste, who once made this number big at FC. The fans already reacted split because of the Selke obligation. The number with the Modeste number seems to finally upset many.

Selke’s wife Evelyn once even had her husband’s shirt number immortalized on his butt and now got involved in the number Zoff, wrote on Instagram: “Now the 27 on the butt finally makes sense again.”
Apparently, none of this makes much sense to Modeste. Perhaps also because he had waited in vain for a new contract offer from FC sports boss Christian Keller (43) after his outstanding 20-goal season last summer.

At the time, Modeste was fobbed off with the statement that there was no money for him and finally went to BVB. For players like Sargis Adamyan (29) or now Selke, the FC coal was enough in the end.
And the latter now got the Tony number on top of it. Davie Selke will complete his first team unit in Cologne on Tuesday and will play in the test kick against HSV on Saturday…
