Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz will miss the remainder of the season with torn anterior and medial cruciate ligaments suffered last month.

The player concerned confirmed everything to the media on Thursday, stating that he had been operated on. The rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament was also discovered during surgery. He hopes to be recovered in time for the start of the next campaign.

Ertz fell in action after making a 12-yard catch during a game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10 of the regular season. This year, he had 406 yards and four touchdowns on 47 receptions.

As for the Cardinals, they rank third in the NFL’s National Conference West Division with four wins in 12 outings.
