Women’s Portuguese Cup: Benfica-Sporting in the quarterfinals

Benfica hosts Sporting in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese women’s football Cup, dictated the draw held this Wednesday afternoon, at Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras.

In addition to the Lisbon derby, the draw also dictated a Racing Power Football Club-Amora, a Clube de Albergaria-Sp. Braga and a Famalicão-Damaiense.

The tie is scheduled for January 21, 2023 and features seven clubs from the League and one from the 2nd Division, Racing Power.

The crossing to the final

Also this Wednesday, the path to the final of the competition was defined.

In the semi-finals, a two-legged stage, the winner of Benfica-Sporting faces the winner of Famalicão-Damaiense. The winner of Racing Power-Amora meets the winner of Clube de Albergaria-Sp. Braga.

The first leg of the semi-finals is scheduled for March 15, 2023 and the second leg for April 30, 2023. In the first leg, the winner of Benfica-Sporting and the winner of Racing Power-Amora will play at home.

The final is on May 27, 2023.
