The quintet of the Universidad de Concepción had little rest time, after ending the regular phase of the National Women’s Basketball League (LNF).
After losing at home to Universidad de La Frontera, Cipriano Núñez’s team lost the leadership of the South Zone to the hands of Escuela Alemana de Paillaco, who did their homework to defeat CD Infinito and take the lead.
In this way, the rival for the Auricielo team also changed, which must be measured against Gimnástico de Viña del Mar for one of the places among the teams that will go for the title. The Viña del Mar team finished in third place in the North Zone and will arrive with the goal of annulling Penquista’s favoritism.
The key, which will be played for the best of three matches (with the Campanil enjoying field advantage), will begin tonight in the Valparaíso Region.
