On Friday there was an official report from the hospital announcing that Pelé suffered from a respiratory infection, treated with antibiotics. “The response has been satisfactory and the patient is stable, with a general improvement in his state of health,” the report added, without giving details about a possible discharge date for the 82-year-old former crack.
